Mission
Kaleidoscope Music Education works to promote excellence in music teaching, with a focus on the following areas
Kodály Musicianship
Musicianship is central to the well-rounded development of any musician. Through using this renowned Hungarian pedagogy, Michael teaches musicianship in the Kodály way in both 1:1 and groups settings, leading learners to be able to read and write music, develop aural skills, and experience music on a deeper level through singing and games.
Singing & Vocal Coaching
Singing is good for the soul. It is a fundamental way for human beings to communicate and express themselves. Michael has sung all of his life, and believes that every individual person can, and should, sing. Whilst Michael has experience with preparing students for ABRSM exams, choral scholarships, and music competitions, he simply enjoys guiding his students to finding their own true voice, encouraging them to then use it as a creative outlet.
Choral Performance
The only thing better than singing, is singing together. Working in a vocal ensemble towards a common artistic goal is truly something special. Michael has a background in choral conducting and runs his own choir, Carpe Harmonia. Additionally, Michael has acted as Musical Director for several school musicals and choir concerts. Being the third pillar of Kaleidoscope Music Education make sense, choral singing allows students to showcase their voice and develop their musicianship skills even further.
