Colleagues and clients share their experiences of Michael's services
Kaye Barker, Dalcroze teacher at Guildhall School of Music & Drama; Dalcroze Moves
Michael is a superb musician with an infectious enthusiasm and great rapport with his students! I thoroughly recommend him as teacher and/or choir master
Esther Hargittai, Education Planning Board at British Kodály Academy; Kodály teacher at Guildhall School of Music & Drama
Open your heart and mind, relax, and enjoy Michael’s teaching, his music-making. You will learn effortlessly, absorb material in such an enjoyable way, being able to follow a logical progression which is very clever but at the same time feels natural. However, the ‘real deal’ is Michael himself. His kindness, his integrity, his choice of repertoire, his sense of humour, his deep knowledge, his musicality, his beautiful voice – all makes for an exceptional and very positive experience. Michael makes you feel equal, and he makes you believe in yourself. Wonderful!
Chris Andrews, Director of Music & Kodály Practitioner
It's always a joy watching Michael working with children - his sessions are fun and engaging, yet still have musical rigor and students progress quickly. He covered a term at my prep school while I was away and I came back to classes that knew everything they needed - and then some!
Mary Price-O’Connor, Dalcroze teacher at Guildhall School of Music & Drama; The Moving Theatre Lab
Michael is a highly experienced teacher with a passion for music and igniting love of music in his students. He is creative in his approach and is exemplary when it comes to an inclusive practice
Trish, Kodály practitioner & piano teacher

Michael is a talented educator with a knack for getting the best out of everyone. Even with a large, mixed-ability group, he somehow makes you feel the content has been tailored to you alone. As a neurodiverse adult I often lack confidence in taking part in group activities for fear I’ll make a fool of myself, but Michael’s teaching skills, humour and understanding of neurodiversity have helped me to both develop my skills, confidence and enjoyment of group activities. I wish this gawky kid had had more Michaels in her life at school!
